Women's Ministry

Mission Statement: The mission of Women's Ministry is to be LIGHT by encouraging women to have a joyful knowledge of belonging to God and serving and loving one another, enabling women to discover and use their spiritual gifts in the Body of Christ, and equipping all women to grow in godliness and Christian maturity, resulting in sharing with others the Truth of the Gospel of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13) Women are valued at Fluvanna Baptist Church. In order that we become all God desires, we currently offer a growing array of programs and events to help us use our spiritual gifts, increase in knowledge and love of God and His Word, and love and serve others.

Events and programs include: Thursday morning Bible studies - 10-12:00 at the church (evening studies may be added) Annual Mother-Daughter Banquet- held in May Spring Women's Retreat - held in March Women's Book Club - meets third Tuesday of February, May, August, and November, 7:00PM Ladies Night Out- featuring movie nights, meals out, tubing on the river, etc. Baby and wedding showers Meals to new moms and those recovering from surgeries, dealing with on-going illness or loss of loved one.
